Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains

One element that made Tokyo Ghoul a successful R-rated mini-series was its characters. Although in a different setting, there are many reasons to love the same faces in the mobile game adaptation, Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains.

A bulk of heroes and heroines in the show and manga are featured in the turn-based RPG, so choosing the right avatars to fight with can be perplexing.

Worry not, though, because here is an updated tier list for the best champions to work with in Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains.

Explaining the Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains Tier List

This article will rate characters in five tiers: S, A, B, C, and D. It’s a descending list, with the S-tier being the most superior and the D-tier at the bottom of the food chain.

Keep in mind that this system doesn’t only consider combat power (CP). We have assessed their active and passive abilities, as well as how effective they are in their given roles.

However, we are only including the SSR-rated heroes. That’s 33 out of over 50 characters in the game’s official index.

With that said, let’s get right into ranking Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains’ most efficient fighters.

S Tier

This section belongs to the most overpowered beings in the game. They have top-notch base stats, and it is best to build your team around at least one of these heroes.

Rerolling in Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains

Because the best characters in Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains are SSR-rated, they are difficult to pull. You only have a 3% probability of obtaining an SSR hero in Regular Recruit. That’s why many resort to rerolling.

If you are unfamiliar with this process, it is a gaming hack where you restart a gacha game multiple times to summon the champions you want.

Break the Chains doesn’t allow guest accounts, so this procedure can be more taxing than games like Nikke or Reverse: 1999. Nevertheless, you’ll find everything you need to know about rerolling in Tokyo Ghoul in the steps below.

  • Step 1: Restart the game and log in with a new email, Apple, or KomoeGame account. You can do this by tapping the switch account icon at the bottom right side of the launch screen.
  • Step 2: Play the tutorial until you reach stage 1-7 of the story mode to unlock the Recruit feature. Frisk through the cutscenes by pressing the Skip button at the top right corner.
  • Step 3: Recruit your first few characters and continue with the tutorial.
  • Step 4: After finishing Chapter One of the Main Story, go to the mail icon at the top left side of the home screen.
  • Step 5: Hit the Claim All button to get all of your freebies.
  • Step 6: Return to the home screen and go back to Recruit.
  • Step 7: Use all the currency you have to pull as many heroes as possible.
  • Step 8: If you still don’t get the hero you need, repeat the process.
