  1. I find that using Lulu as a captain on one of the ships in early game is better than Cordelia. her healing skill does much more. while using Cordelia as captain on fourth or a first mate until then on a ship that lulu isn’t on. gives much healing. my line up looks like this
flagship: Bones (great attack), cursed Ed (damaging effects), and armstrong (helps add armor)
2nd: Lulu (heals greatly), sharky ( damages), masked woman (for more attack)
3rd: Ahab (adds shield to all), Cordelia (more healing), old USM guy (good support damage)
4th.: Griffen (attack), Lester (more damage), bow woman (for now due to drowning effects… will replace)
all ships that healers are on have added armor, where they are not has added heal boost, the ships have cutthroat damage boosts as well and a good amount of attack points as well as attack percentages. percentage means nothing if you do not have around 50-100 extra points at least, but with this and basic attack as well does great amount of boosts.
