Hanu’s Prison Break Event Walkthrough Guide – Honkai: Star Rail

Hanu’s Prison Break is one of the exciting events released for Honkai: Star Rail 2.0 and becomes available to players who have completed the Trailblaze Mission, “Penacony — Through a Glass Darkly.”

During the limited-time event, complete the goals, and you will receive rewards and obtain a character of your choosing.

The event will conclude on March 25th. Some of the puzzles in this event are challenging, but worry not; we’re here to provide you with a walkthrough for every stage of Hanu’s Prison Break.

Honkai Star Rail: Hanu’s Prison Break

Dr. Edward has created a new dream bubble with a unique theme in Honkai Star Rail, receiving rave reviews from customers who have experienced it. What makes it so exciting? Talk to Dr. Edward in the Golden Hour, Oti Mall, and try it yourself.

Event Rules

  • After the event starts, the “Bubble Pinball” stage in the Shallow Dreamscape will unlock. Completing the dream bubble stage unlocks the next one.
  • Once you have completed the dream bubbles in the Shallow Dreamscape, new dream bubble chapters in the Deep Dreamscape will unlock.
  • Among them, Bubble Pinball contains 5 stages, Dream Ticker contains 5 stages, Hanu’s Adventure contains 2 stages, and Dreamwalker contains 2 stages.

Event Rewards

  • If you achieve the specified event objective during the limited-time event, you’re entitled to claim 1 character reward in the “Character Selection” section.
  • You will also be entitled to claim event rewards in the “Limited-Time Rewards” section, such as Stellar Jade, Refined Aether, Starfire Essence, Lost Crystal, Credit, and Tracks of Destiny.

After this event ends in Honkai Star Rail, Trailblazers can no longer claim limited-time event rewards. However, they can still visit Dr. Edward to experience the event content and claim regular rewards.

Shallow & Deep Dreamscape: “Bubble Pinball”

In Honkai Star Rail’s Bubble Pinball, all you have to do is adjust the path and drive the Spheroid to escape. Create a trajectory that connects the pinball launchers on both sides by activating, closing, or rotating the plates.

You can launch the pinball to reach the destination when the trajectory is completed.

“Shallow” Difficulty I

  • Turn the first and second plates once, then turn the third plate twice.

  • Turn the first, second, third, and fifth plates once, then turn the fourth plate twice.

“Deep” Difficulty I

  • Turn the first and second plates once, then board the pinball machine to move to the next platform.

  • While at the second platform, deactivate the first and second plates to retrieve energy. Activate and turn the third and fifth plates once; for the fourth, activate it.

“Deep” Difficulty II

  • Activate the first, second, third, and fourth plates. There’s no need to rotate. Once done, move to the next platform.

  • Press “Reset Plates” on the lower left side of the screen to retrieve all energy. Activate and turn the first, third, and fifth plates once. For the second, fourth, and sixth, only activate.

“Deep” Difficulty III

  • Activate the first to seventh plates and only rotate plates three and six.

  • Activate the first to fifth plates and only rotate the second plate. Once done, enter the pinball machine to move to the next platform.

  • While on the second platform, press “Reset Plates” to obtain all the energy. Activate plates from one to four. Only turn plate two.

  • Activate the plates from one to eleven. Only rotate the fifth plate once.

Dream Ticker

Another mini-game in Hanu’s Prison Break is Dream Ticker. Once you interact with a Dream Ticker, you will enter their Emoscape to repair them.

In Emoscape, some building blocks are interactable; you can drag them to move them or click them to rotate them. Use these blocks to help Clockie complete the path and collect gears to repair their mind.

There is also a movable Dream Mirror that replicates existing paths. Once a pathway to a gear is complete, Clocking will automatically collect the gear. Collect all the gears to complete the repair.

  • Click the orange block (marked as one) twice to align with the yellow block. Clockie will automatically move to collect the gear.

  • Click on the orange block to straighten it, then move the mirror to the right to create a bridge for Clockie.

“Shallow” Difficulty II

  • Move the mirror slightly to the right. Click on the blue block once, then twice on the orange block.

  • Adjust the mirror towards the left to align the orange block with the block above it.

“Deep” Difficulty I

  • Move the yellow block down. Click on the orange block on the right side twice and then click the other orange block on its left three times.

  • Move the yellow block all the way up, then click on the orange block next to it three times. Drag the mirror to the left until the blocks are aligned.

“Deep” Difficulty II

  • Move the yellow block all the way down and then adjust the mirror towards right to create a straight bridge for Clockie.

  • Move the yellow block up and align it with the fixed black block (indicated with an arrow). Then turn the blue block three times.

  • Start by clicking the blue block once to rotate it, then drag the yellow block above towards the blue block, and lastly, drag the other yellow block to the right.

  • Drag the mirror all the way down.

  • Align the yellow block to the fixed black block (indicated with an arrow), and then move the mirror toward the left to have the reflection close the gap and connect.

“Deep” Difficulty IV

  • Drag the mirror all the way down. Click on the orange block three times to rotate it, then drag the yellow block down, and finally click on the blue block once to connect.

  • Click the orange block once and then the blue block once to create a pathway.

  • Move the mirror all the way to the right. Move the blue block near the mirror twice, then once for the next blue block. Finally, rotate the orange block once to connect them.

  • Rotate the blue block at the far left twice to release the second blue block. Once freed, rotate it three times and then click the left blue block again to align.

Hanu’s Adventure

In Penancony’s Dreamscape, guests are able to play as the cartoon character Hanu through the transformation device and experience a miraculous adventure in a corner of the Dreamscape.

In Haru form, you can explore areas that are not accessible in your normal size, and you can also use rockets to transport to other areas.

A pair of wolf-like sharp eyes are hidden under Hanu’s sunglasses. Use the button to activate his Hanu Vision to observe the tools that can be utilized and try to find the hidden treasure.

  • After transforming into Hanu, run underneath the vents, then use the blue rocket to climb up. Follow the path, but activate your Hanu vision halfway through to see the enemy’s view cone.

  • Use this to time your move and hide behind the boxes until you reach the balloon and yank the origami bird out.

“Shallow” Difficulty II

  • After turning into Hanu, use the blue rocket on your left to climb the bookshelf. Head to the far end of the shelf until you reach the blue balloon. Yank the stuck origami bird free.

  • Use the blue rocket again to climb down, then head for the hole in the shelf for the second bird. Use your Hanu Eyes to see and avoid the enemy’s view cone.

  • Head back to the main lobby, then approach the other side of the staircases. Use your Hanu Eyes to slip past the enemy while they’re looking away.

“Deep” Difficulty I

  • Once transformed into Hanu and slipped into the vent, get in the box which is located across the room. Wait for the enemy to walk past and look away from you, and be sure to use Hanu Eyes.
  • Then, emerge from the box and swiftly make your way towards the gap between the stack of books. Pull the bird free.

  • There’s a blue rocket in the same area where you found the bird. Use it to climb on the shelf, then approach the vase. Push it once the enemy stepped on the red circle to knock them out.
  • Use the rocket to climb down, then transform back to your normal size using the television before you. Head to the other section of the room and climb the steps.
  • Use the television to transform as Hanu, hide in the box to avoid the enemy’s vision cone, and then use the blue rocket to climb the shelf. Like earlier, push the vase to knock them out. Head back down to free the bird.

  • After you enter the vent as Hanu, approach the room partition and then use the blue rocket hiding within. You will be transported to the top of the shelf, where you can push the vase to knock out the enemy.

  • Have Hanu teleport down the shelf, then proceed forward to free the bird. Up ahead, there’s an enemy patrolling. With the Hanu Eyes, avoid them, then slip into the box to hide and wait for it to fly past and look away. Run to the end of the room, then use the rocket.

  • While on top of the shelf, use the vase to knock out the enemy blow, and then use the other rocket to teleport down and free the last origami bird.

Dreamwalker

Dreamwalker is one of Hanu’s Prison Break game modes. There are bubble bridges available that give you access to climb on walls. You need the bubble tower to grant you bubble charges to activate the bridge. One charge is consumed per bridge.

“Shallow” Difficulty I

  • After entering the Dreamwalker section, use the Bubble Tower to get Bubble Charge, then use it on the Bubble Bridge near it. Climb the wall, use the second Bubble Tower, activate the next bridge, and approach Hanu’s accomplice.

“Shallow” Difficulty II

  • At the start, press the button in front of you to access the Bubble Tower. Head for the first bubble bridge, then activate the second close to it. Press the button to access the Bubble Tower and replenish your charge.
  • Climb up again, then head forward for the third bridge.
  • Use the Bubble Tower up ahead to get more Bubble Charges. Climb the next bridge, then head for the next one to meet up with Hanu.

“Deep” Difficulty I

  • Press the button to access the Bubble Tower, then activate the Bubble Bridge up ahead.
  • Head to your left and collect Bubble Charges from the Bubble Tower, then activate the next Bubble Bridge.
  • Follow the path, then activate the bridge on your right to access the Bubble Tower for more charges. Climb up, then activate the other bridge, leading you to the final one. Collect the treasure to complete the Dreamwalker.

“Deep” Difficulty II

  • Grab the bubble charges before heading to the first bridge. Activate the second one up ahead, run across it, and then access the Bubble Tower to replenish the charges before activating the third bridge.

  • Activate and cross the bridge on your right to access the Bubble Tower again, replenish the used charges, head back, and activate the next bridge on your right.
  • Up ahead is another Bubble Tower; use it, then climb the bridge in front of you where the third Bubble Tower is found, use it to gain three charges, and then head back, use the Bubble Tower again to maintain three charges then continue forward.
  • Head straight to the next bridge. Up ahead, there will be an enemy waiting for you. Once defeated, continue moving forward and activate the last bridge to access the final treasure.

Conclusion

There you have it! Hanu’s Prison Break is indeed a fun event full of exciting minigames, some of which were challenging, but that sweet Stellar Jade reward was worth it!
