Gameplay Tutorial

Key Enemies and the Mutation Mechanic

Dreamjolt TV

  • There is one type of key enemy in every one of the first 4 Dreamjolt TV stages.
  • As the mastermind behind the Dreamjolt TV, every type of key enemy has a corresponding Mutation Mechanic on the stage.
  • Challenging each stage by targeting their Mutation Mechanic is a surefire way to defeat the mastermind efficiently.

Increase Stage Buff

Honkai

  • Not only can you effectively defeat the mastermind by triggering the Mutation Mechanic, but you can also increase the current stage’s Stage Buff rank that way.
  • A higher Stage Buff rank can provide more powerful buffs in the Dreamjolt TV stage.

Buff Buildup and Final Showdown Phases

Dreamjolt TV
Photo: miHoYo
  • In the first four stages, every stage contains a Buff Buildup and a Final Showdown phase.
  • There is a 4-Cycle countdown in the Buff Buildup stage, during which enemies will continuously refresh. The most important goal during this stage is to use the key Mutation Mechanic to raise the Stage Buff rank as high as possible.
  • In the Final Showdown phase of Dreamjolt TV, the Stage Buff rank can no longer be increased. Defeat more enemies in 6 Cycles and get the highest points possible.

Final Challenge – Live Studio

Dreamjolt TV

  • Select 2 Stage Buffs out of the ones you obtained in the first 4 stages and use the Stage Buff ranks you’ve accumulated to defeat the final boss.

The fifth stage of Dreamjolt TV will no longer have the Buff Buildup and Final Showdown phases.

Dreamjolt TV Stage 1

Keeping Up With the Bagtrashians

Dreamjolt TVAttacks of any Type can implant a Weakness of the corresponding Type on this enemy.
DreamjoltMutation Mechanic: Weakness Break
Breaking Lordly Trashcan’s Weakness will directly defeat them and inflict Weakness Break on all enemy targets aside from Lordly Trashcan (Projection)
Dreamjolt TVAfter using the Weakness Brerak mechanic to break the Lordly Trashcan (Projection)’s Weakness, you may upgrade your Stage Buff by 1 rank.

As you increase your Stage Buff rank, the rating for the Stage Buff will also increase.

Buff Buildup Commence

Remember that the first 4 rounds are your opportunity to build buffs, and the key is to use the Mutation Mechanic to raise the Stage Buff as high as possible.

In this stage, breaking Lordly Trashcan’s Weakness will directly defeat them and inflict Weakness Break on all enemy targets except for Lordly Trashcan (Projection). Therefore, you must focus on defeating Lordly Trashcan.

Honkai

Xueyi and Himeko’s follow-up combo is the star of this stage. Breaking Weakness prompts their kits to activate, so be sure to utilize Ruan Mei’s buff. Alternatively, if you’re using Silverwolf, spread Quantum type for additional damage and ensure a quick floor sweep.

Final Showdown

Honkai
Photo: miHoYo

On the Final Showdown, you will face tough enemies and bosses like Abundant Ebon Deer and Cocolia. Make sure Ruan Mei buffs your team, then focus your DPS on the Lordly Trashcan. If there are multiple targets, use AoE skills. Do not use SP for healing; if possible, stick with Lynx’s Ultimate to free up SP for the Damage Dealers.

In cases without Lordly Trashcan in the field, aim Weakness Breaking same Type enemies for the follow-up damage. You should be able to accumulate over 80,000 points with this simple strategy.

Dreamjolt TV Stage 2

Loony Telly

DreamTVAttacking this enemy can make it switch between the Surprise Channel and the Fright Channel.
HonkaiMutation Mechanic: Grin Sweep
When 3 or more of these enemies in the Surprise Channel are adjacent to each other, triggers the Grin Sweep effect, immediately defeating them.
HonkaiAfter switching 3 or more adjacent Dreamjolt Troupe’s Mr. Domescreen (Projection) to the Surprise Channel to trigger Grin Sweep, you may upgrade the Stage Buff by 1 rank.

As you increase your Stage Buff rank, the rating for the Stage Buff will also increase in Dreamjolt TV.

Buff Buildup Commence

DTV

Your primary goal for this stage is to switch Mr. Domescreen’s state to Surprise State. Remember, when 3 or more Mr. Domescreen in Surprise Channel are adjacent to each other, they’re immediately defeated. Attacking Mr. Domescreen switches the Channel.

  • Surprise Channel – Give one ally energy.
  • Fright Channel – The enemy deals AoE damage on their turn, and your whole team loses some energy.
Honkai

Argenti dominates the Buff Buildup stage in Dreamjolt TV. Use his AoE skill and Ultimate to change all Mr. Domescreen’s states to Surprise States and mind the automaton that explodes as it can also change the State adjacent to them.

Meanwhile, have Sparkle and Luocha make a single-target attack to switch Surprise Channel to conserve SP while Dan Heng IL uses his blast for tanky opponents.

Final Showdown

Honkai

In the Final Showdown, Dan Heng IL takes center stage. This stage grants more DMG as they consume more Skill Points in their attacks, giving Dan Heng IL a significant advantage. Therefore, Argenti and Luocha should focus on single-target attacks to reserve SP for Dan Heng IL, while Sparkle concentrates her buffs on him.

Whenever Argenti and Luocha’s Ultimate fills up, use them against trash mobs, especially during Bronya and Gepard’s wave.

Dreamjolt TV Stage 3

Inferno’s Kitchen

HonkaiMutation Mechanic: Combo Blast
Attacking this enemy or dealing DoT to it increases Stove Overheating stacks. When a certain number of stacks is reached, trigger Combo Blast, dealing DMG to all enemies and regenerating Energy for all allies.
HonkaiBy attacking or inflicting DoT on Dreamjolt Troupe’s Beyond Overcooked (Projection) to trigger the Combo Blast mechanic, you may upgrade the Stage Buff by 1 rank.

As you increase your Stage Buff rank, the rating for the Stage Buff will also increase.

Buff Buildup Commence

Honkai

This stage is considered the easiest. In the Buff Buildup, you stack up as many DoTs as possible on Dreamjolt Troupe’s Beyond Overcooked (T-Rex).

Use Kafka, Black Swan, and Sampo’s AoE skill to damage the enemies adjacent to the T-Rex, especially the Bubble Hound. These hounds explode once defeated, increasing the Stove Overheating stacks.

Final Showdown

Honkai
Photo: miHoYo

At the Final Showdown, Luocha’s Talent is enough to keep the party alive to use his Ultimate whenever it’s full. The same goes for the other team members. Focus on stacking up Dots on the bosses, then use Ultimate when it’s available.

Honkai

When it comes to mara-struck soldiers, have Luocha use his Ultimate to remove their buff. Preventing rebirth and healing.

In the final boss encounter, Yanqing, save up Luocha or Kafka’s Ultimate for his swords. This should effectively eliminate them all at once.

Dreamjolt TV Stage 4

Dancing with the Simians

HonkaiMutation Mechanic: Quake Counter
Characters gain Shield after taking action. While Shielded, characters can rebound this enemy’s attacks, triggering the Quake Counter mechanic and dealing Blast DMG.
HonkaiMutation Mechanic: Quake Counter
Attacking this enemy Advances Forward its action, making it possible to rebound more of its attacks.
HonkaiAfter rebounding the attack of Dreamjolt Troup’s Sweet Gorrila (Projection) to trigger the Quake Counter mechanic, you may upgrade the Stage Buff by 1 rank.

As you increase your Stage Buff rank, the rating for the Stage Buff will also increase.

Buff Buildup Commence

Honkai

Gepard is lovely, but since this stage grants you a stackable Shield when you take action, it’s best to choose March 7th for her remove debuff skill

The mechanic is simple: when the Sweet Gorilla attacks a target with a shield, it will rebound, causing a Blast DMG. As a tank with a good follow-up attack, you want Clara as the primary target.

At the start of the game, have March 7th cast a shield on Clara. Then, along with Dr. Ratio and Topaz, have the trio stick to a normal single-target attack and let Clara do all the work.

If Topaz’s Proof of Debt debuff is on a trash mob, use her Skill on the Sweet Gorilla to change target; that way, Numby’s follow-up attack lands on them.

Whenever their Ultimate fills up, don’t hesitate to use them on the Gorrila. This won’t remove the Monitored target effect from Clara.

Final Showdown

Honkai
Photo: miHoYo

It’s all fair game in the Final Showdown unless you’re facing against the Gorilla. Stick with the same routine during the Buff Buildup. Otherwise, the other members may use their skills to eliminate trash mobs.

Once you encounter Cocolia and she freezes your allies, use the March 7th skill on them. Her shield comes with a remove debuff effect.

Honkai

Svarog is straightforward. Have Clara use her Ultimate to maintain agro while the rest of the members use their high DMG attack and Ultimate. Once the Auxiliary Robot Arm appears, focus your attack on them until they are eliminated.

Dreamjolt TV Stage 5

Emotional Void

Stage 5 is where you find the mastermind and the final boss of the Dreamjolt TV event. Before engaging in battle, select 2 Stage Buffs accumulated from Stages 1-4.

The goal for this stage is to Defeat enemies and clear as many waves of enemies as possible in 6 Cycles for points. After passing the stage, you will receive extra scores if you have remaining Cycles.

Ideally, prioritize selecting Buffs with the highest Buildup score. If you find the scores unsatisfactory, you can return to the previous level to increase the buff stack. The highest score you achieve from that stage will be reflected in Stage 5.

Trial Team Recommendation

Honkai

There are two ideal Trial teams for this Stage:

  • Kafka, Black Swan, Sampo, and Luocha – Get Grin Sweep (2nd) and Combo Blast (3rd) buff.
  • Dan Heng IL, Sparkle, Gepard and Ruan Mei – Get Grin Sweep (2nd) and Quake Counter (4th) buff.

Final Showdown

Honkai
Photo: miHoYo

This Stage of Dreamjolt TV is relatively straightforward. Any Trial lineup works as long as the team meets the condition of the buff you assigned to them. It should be enough to reach 80,000 points.

The DoT team is recommended for a quick and easy run. They’re most effective against the last Boss, Memory Zone Meme.

Honkai
Photo: miHoYo

The Boss skill you need to watch out for is the Fading Radiance. Memory Zone Meme will gain one stack of Sunset state if they receive a Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate. On the third stack, they nab the last-acting character and place them in the Morbid Dream state. While within the Morbid Dream, the character cannot move until allies destroy five stacks of the Sombrous Sepulcher.

Honkai
Photo: miHoYo

This shouldn’t pose an issue if you’re using a DoTs team, as the damage over time effects can swiftly free the character. Alternatively, ensure your buffer or healer is placed in Morbid Dream to maintain sufficient active DPS to attack the Sombrous Sepulcher.
