Each of your team members will also be assigned a specific color when on a mission so matching objects corresponding to that color will increase their power bar but we will talk about that aspect a bit later.

DC Heroes & Villains: Match 3 – Gameplay Elements

Just like most matching puzzle games, the main gameplay elements revolve around the player matching three or more of the same colorful objects. Doing so deals damage to enemies the enemies on screen which can range from common thugs to very powerful bosses.

However, unlike most games of its genre, DC Heroes & Villains: Match 3 adds additional RPG elements into the mix which make the game a lot more interesting. When the player matches objects, depending on their position, your attacks may miss your enemies. This brings a strategic element to the game and causes the player to think ahead.

Besides dealing direct damage to enemies, matching more than three objects can create special tiles with unique properties such as eliminating all shapes of a certain kind, in a specific direction, or even within a specific area.

Lastly, each of the heroes you picked can equip gear that will increase their stats. In addition to that, every time you match three or more objects, one of your team member’s power bars will increase. Every member of your team has access to a special ability that can be used when their power bar is full. This ability will deal huge damage to all targets on the screen and multiple special abilities from different team members can be combined to deal even more damage.

Some characters can deal large amounts of damage while others can increase your team’s defenses and restore lost health. This is why having a balanced team of characters is extremely important. Furthermore, having either four superheroes or four supervillains on your team will grant you additional benefits, so keep that in mind.

Use Your Special Abilities Strategically

Special abilities require you to fill a power bar before they can be used. This means they are not easily accessible and as such should be used wisely. For example, if your character has the ability to heal other party members, make sure that you use it when their health is low instead of just wasting it as soon as it is available.

Join A Guild

Joining a guild comes with its own set of advantages. Included among them is access to exclusive characters, special events, and different types of rewards. However, the biggest advantage that joining a guild offers is engaging with other players and creating teams to fight against even more powerful foes.
