If you’re a fan of other CookieRun games by Devsisters like Cookie Run: OvenBreak and Cookie Run: Kingdom, we have the perfect news for you. The first-ever 3D CookieRun game is on the horizon!

The infamous mobile game developers are coming out with a brand-new Cookie Run game, and this time it has a much bigger focus on playing with friends. That’s right, CookieRun: Tower of Adventure, the next game in the Cookie Run series, is a self-proclaimed co-op action game that’s better together.

If this sounds like a game that’ll be right up your alley, then you will want to keep reading. After all, although there’s a game to play this game, it’s not at all familiar to what Devsisters has done in the past.

To ensure every Cookie Run fan knows exactly what to expect from CookieRun: Tower of Adventures, we’re here with a quick and easy-to-follow beginner guide for the game.

Starting off, how does CookieRun: Tower of Adventures even play? Well, players control one of the multiple playable cookies using the digital buttons that are on the screen.

There’s a digital analog stick to the left of the screen to move your cookie and three buttons to the right, one for dashing, one for basic attacks, and one for special attacks.

If you’re playing the game on a PC instead, then you can use your keyboard instead of having to use the on-screen commands.

Although the buttons are customizable, the default dash button is space, while basic and special attacks are done by clicking the left and right buttons on your mouse respectively.

Since we’ve mentioned basic attacks, we’re certain most of you could probably figure out where the game is going at this point. That’s right, players control their characters to defeat enemies and bosses all the while moving forward in every level.

A Thrilling Story

Hey, it wouldn’t be a Cookie Run game without a thrilling story, and Devsisters has gone the extra step for Tower of Adventures. The main aim of the story is to climb the Tower of Pancakes, but of course, there’s much more to this than what meets the eye.

After a thrilling prologue mission at the Witch’s house and a fight with Frank, the first boss in the game, the adventure of GingerBrave and friends starts. They gather up to learn about the secrets of the evil lurking within the Pancake Tower.

Fortunately, you don’t have to do all of this alone, as the game gives players the option to go through the ENTIRE story in co-op mode with up to four friends.

That’s right, that means there can be you and three other friends on the screen in real time causing mayhem and taking out every single monster or boss that stands in your way.

Naturally, the co-op feature isn’t mandatory, and players wanting to play the game alone can do so without any issues.

There are also other types of game modes players can try with or without their friends, and the story also has different types of stages you’ll come across to ensure things stay fresh.

If you’ve played previous Cookie Run games then it’s very likely that you’re familiar with the gacha system that popular games like Honkai: Star Rail also have. Well, the system makes a return in CookieRun: Tower of Adventures.

By obtaining tickets, players can draw in one of the multiple banners to try their luck.

There’s the option to either pull a single draw by using one ticket or to draw ten at once to speed the process up and increase your chances of obtaining a rare character. Oh, and did we mention that you can obtain both cookies and artifacts through this method?

Speaking of artifacts, they can be used to strengthen your army of cookies. When you go to the character screen of any cookie you own, you have the option to do three things.

  • You can either equip an article you have to the cookie, with artifacts granting different power-ups. Keep in mind that you can only equip one artifact to a cookie, and you can enhance artifacts if you have multiple cards for the same artifact.
  • You can use gear for different parts of your cookie’s body to not only give your cookie some buffs but also to customize them as you see fit.
  • You can use the potions you’ve acquired to level your cookie up, increasing their health, attack, and defense stats at the same time.

The trick is to ensure you have several different types of cookies and all of them are powerful enough to take on strong foes. This way, you can be ready for anything the game throws at you.
